New Vamp for 'Vampire'

Anne Rice isn’t the only one who’s changed her tune about Tom Cruise and the film adaptation her novel Interview with the Vampire.  The filmmakers are changing their tunes as well, as they’ve thrown out the film’s score and started from scratch.

Rice now says she loves the movie, but sources said that producers David Geffen, Stephen Woolley and director Neil Jordan weren’t in love with the film’s musical score, done by George Fenton.  They’ve hired Elliot Goldenthal to rescore the pic.

He’s been making a lot of noise lately on Warner Bros. films, having done the score on the upcoming “Cobb”, starring Tommy Lee Jones, and getting set to score “Batman Forever”, which began shooting last week.
